      Project site is located at Bursa, Kayhan; an old district of trade, crafts and distribution. The pedestrian activity is high and craftsmanship still continues as an old tradition. The city is one of the main industrial production center in turkey; such as automotive, agriculture, textile and agriculture, Therefore one of the main centers of work/er/ing.

      I tried to understand the relation between the work/er/ing and its antonym; leisure. So I added a new input to my project; learning. What is learning? Working is an act of application of the knowledge and learning is the act of deriving the knowledge from applied. They seem to be in an endless cyclic relation. So where is leisure stands in this equation? The act of learning requires leisure; people are tend to learn things that they fancy, nobody would like to learn something they are forced to, if the subject is attracts their attention and interest the learning process begins.

      The mass is elevated to allow pedestrian activities to flow inside the building and form the learning spaces between work and leisure. Besides in inside the mass, spaces are formed according to activities, program and time-duration inputs.

Program evolution;

When the relation between program grid elemets is studied , the pointal relations such as work*leisure and learn*learn  can be considered as loss of identity. To prevent such relations while distrubuting the area load on program grid, Programmatic Voids appeared in scene.
What are programmatic voids?

Programmatic voids can be considered as free area of square meters for any activiy scenarios or unexpected events.
